This house was designed for a great large lot right on the Atlantic Ocean, which is to the rear of this house, Bot the client also wanted to appreciate the beautiful sunsets over the bay which is towards the front. The client had many unique requests from us in the design; among which were a bodega type of pantry, a walk-in refrigerator for added cold storage, a large ding room, great views all the way around, AND a way to isolate the noise that occurs between the sleeping areas, and the more ‘public’ areas of the house.

We achieved this by catapulting, over their list of must-haves list for us, and understanding the CAFRA and FEMA regulations, to design a ‘two part house’ with the sleeping rooms to the left, the ‘public ‘spaces to the right in a shape that gestures towards the setting sun separated by a multi-story glass breezeway; including outdoor covered and non-covered terraces to the southern exposure, multiple roof terraces including one at near maximum building height and facing the Atlantic ocean, and indoor ‘storm watching’ glass room to view passing thunder storms, an underground garage, and a boardwalk style walkway that leads guests through the house to the beach while still outdoors!

A whole lot of design options to enjoy, to say the least!
